In August, I posted here about TeXbrain, a LaTeX editor that runs completely in the browser, with no need for an account or server. (I didn't excpect it to get that much feedback, bug reports and help from here!) This is the same idea for the other half of my studies, the handwritten notes. I take them on a convertible laptop, and I've had a hard time with apps for that, taking notes from a device to another, exporting as PDF, needing an account for many of them, etc. So I've been working on the version of it that I always wanted. An international airport in the Saudi capital has been hit by a second strike in as many days, officials have said. A Saudi military spokesman said a projectile had hit King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Sunday, causing a fire in one of its passenger halls. Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority said there had been injuries. Eight orangutans have been released into the wild in Borneo after being rescued from intense wildfires. Three mothers, their three daughters and two adult males were freed in a reserve in the west of the island on Friday. Milk and washing machines are currently more regulated than AI, the president of Microsoft has said. Brad Smith said there needed to be global safety rules in place, including a legal obligation to tell a "victim" if their system is breached by a rogue AI agent as well as deciding when outside evaluators should sign off on an AI product before it is released. His comments put him at odds with President Donald Trump, who said the sector should regulate itself so US firms don't lose out to Chinese rivals.
